Long Distance Relationship
Story of the Week
Back in december 1998, I published my story right here about how I had fallen in love with Michael when I was away on vacation in august that same year. I just wanted to express how I feel today.
I went to see Michael for 8 days so we could celebrate New Year's together last year, and even though time flew, I was more sure than ever that I couldn't settle for a life without him. This summer I flew to Denmark again, this time for two months, and we had the chance to live on our own in the appartment he had just moved in.
It was the most wonderful time I had ever spent in my life, they were truly the happiest days I've known, which are still so vividly engraved in my mind and in my heart. We may have spent every minute of every day together for the three first weeks (because he had to work for the rest of the time I was there) and it amazes me how it felt like it was only a few minutes...
I have never felt this way, and I never thought I would. Michael is the most wonderful angel I know, the sun who lights up my world, and without him I just don't think I would be here. I want him to know that I love him with all of my heart, and even though it seems like the odds are so very much against us right now, because it seems like we won't be together for good before another three years, but for as long as my heart keeps beating, I will not spend the rest of my life without feeling his arms around me every night, his tender kiss every day, the sound of his voice, without kissing his soft cheeks and beautiful red lips every morning and every night... I will never forget the beautiful moments we shared, and the times we cried in each other's arms because love hurt so much...
In four weeks I'm leaving to spend Christmas and New Year's with Michael. Even though it was hard, we still managed to make this possible because we couldn't live without seeing each other soon again.
It's been really hard being back here at the end of august, and I have to say that I've suffered of frequent depressions which ended up havind repercussions on my health. I just find myself missing Michael every day, wishing he could be by my side. But I know I have to be strong because I want to live my life with him, and I just hope and pray that day will be ours... someday...
