Long Distance Relationship
Story of the Week
I met Drew when I was 7 years old. I met him at a birthday party of one of my friends. I was always a tomboy and during that party he told me that girls wern't allowed to play with boys and told me to go home. I went home crying and I didn't see him again for 8 years.
I next met him through a new group of friends I started to hang out with. He didn't know he was that little boy who made me cry but I thought it was funny. After about 3 years of being in with my friends, I started to separate from them. Drew had the same feelings as I did about them and we started to hang out together a lot without them.
Over the next year and a half we were unseperable. Everyone swore we were dating but we were just best friends. After that year and a half something happened and one day we kissed. We started dating shortly after and it felt right. We already knew each other so well that we were so comfortable. We dated for about 6 months and then Drew went off the the Air Force.
That was a hard time for us because we didn't know what to do without each other. After 6 weeks of basic training I went to Texas from Philadelphia to see him graduate. We had the greatest time together but I knew in 5 days we would be apart again. On the 2nd night there, he asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes. I then came home and graduated high school.
Now I am in my freshman year at college and we are soon getting married. Im flying back dowm to Texas in August and we are going to make it final. I know I am young and I have a lot of life in front of me, but my life without my best friend would not be life at all.
I have never loved another person in this wourld as I love him and I can't wait for the life we can start together.
