Long Distance Relationship
Story of the Week
I'm not sure if you can use my story but I often use it as a worse case scenario when talking to people who have to endure what I call a 'short-term' long distance relationship. My boyfriend and I met just over a year ago. We immediatly fell for each other. We both seemed to have what the other didn't and were willing to share those traits.
We had so much fun together and loved every minite we spent together. However, a black cloud hung over our time together. We both new it would end in four short months. Matt(my boyfriend), plays minor league baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays. Not only is he gone for eight months out of the year but we never know where he is going to be.
We have to take one day at a time knowing that anything could happen at amytime. We agree to move our relationship in the 'long-term' categorie before he left and have been going strong ever since in spite of our 'black-cloud' we have been loving each other. Do not think this is the end.
The saga ontinues with the threat that Matt may not return at all this year since after the baseball season he can play winter basball in Australia of Venezuala. I love Matt he is my world and he loves his profession. I couldn't be more proud of him. It's hard to be proud and sad at the same time. It's a constant battle for me to be happy for hime and sad for us but we have managed and are learning as we go along. If you would like to hear more, because there is a lot more to my story. I haven't even talked anout me going away to University out of town or Matt's permanent adress which or course added more stress!
