Long Distance Relationship
Story of the Week
My love for Mike began to blossom through chats together on the internet, he had been through a rough ordeal with his ex and through this we became close friends, and through trying to help him ease his pain he began to fall in love with me as I did with him.
He understood long distance relationships being in 3 himself, but for me this was the very first time I was in a loving relationship of any kind and I always tried to act accordingly as I could.
Our girlfriend, boyfriend relationship started on the 26th of April 05 and we have been together for almost 6 months, we have had our bumps like every couple has and we are going strong more than ever.
I have read most of the stories on this site linked to long distance relationships, but I am yet to find a couple who havent seen each other face to face yet, one would ask how you could you be in love with him if we havent met face to face?
For me feelings for him were mixed, I experienced my highschool crush with him and it was his first he had been through, I worked out my feelings after saying so many times to him at the ending of each of chat, I love you, I knew there is chemistry between us.
My fiancee', Mike is living at Nova Scotia, Canada, many miles away from each other separated by on ocean.
Me and Mike have contact through messenger service linked to the internet, we are lucky enough to hear each others voices, type to one another and most importantly we get to see each other through webcam, one of my most enjoyable times being able to see his smile and his eyes gazing at me, we have it all in my eyes.
Our challenges are more pressuring as I am at home with mum and things dont always work out accordingly when I want to type to him or talk him straight away, being away from him hurts so much, I never knew love could be as true or as blissful or as strong, but yet, with one wing you can fall, but together we can fly.
I could be here for many more pages telling you of our relationship and our very beautiful times together.
But what I do take on board with me through Mr. Blakes books and other couples stories is that, in my opinion I have found being in a long distance relationship more strengthening then day to day couples, who can find a gentle kiss just a gentle kiss or for us who go through LDRs we take every kiss as if it is the last and never take it for granted, every loving minute you spend with you loved one could be your last for some time regardless if you have met face to face or or still conversing to one another through means of other communication.
My main goal at the moment is trying to find work and to get the money together to be with my love of my life and being a lady that I am from Australia, I am not having all that much luck at the moment trying to get work.
We have not yet let other people's opinions or thoughts impair our thinking of each other, what we have can not be understood by others who are not in a present or trying to establish a LDR.
Ever since being engaged to Mike, my fiance, I have never loved or have eyes for anyone else but him, I have never for a moment, up until our relationship became deep and meaningful, would I have taken time to think love could be this deep, special and romantic and even while we achieve our dreams together, I know our love is a many splendid thing, like a never ending rainbow.
